Who operates the add-ons

Benchcut Logic LLC, Durango, Colorado, United States ("Benchcut Logic," "we," or "us") operates Quietbound Image Tools and Quietbound PDF Tools. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@quietbound.com.

Google user data accessed

The add-ons access only the Google Drive items a user explicitly opens or selects with the add-on and output files the add-on creates. Depending on the operation, the add-on accesses:

• selected file IDs, names, MIME types, sizes, parent folder IDs, modified times, versions, and per-file authorization state;
• selected image or PDF file contents;
• the user's authorization to create a new output file or, only after explicit confirmation in Quietbound Image Tools, replace the selected image.

The add-ons request drive.file, not broad access to every file in a user's Drive.

How Google user data is used

Google user data is used only to provide the operation the user requests: validate the selected files, process their contents, preserve the appropriate Drive parent folder, create output files, and prevent an outdated replacement from overwriting a newer image revision.

Quietbound Image Tools decodes and re-encodes images to resize, crop, rotate, flip, convert formats, and remove embedded metadata. Quietbound PDF Tools structurally merges documents or extracts, reorders, deletes, and rotates pages.

Processing, transfer, and storage

File contents move from Google Drive to Google Apps Script, are processed by the embedded Rust/WebAssembly engine in that execution, and are written back to Google Drive. There is no Benchcut Logic file-processing server, file-content database, analytics pipeline, advertising service, or model-training pipeline.

The add-on code does not log file contents or file identifiers. Google operates Drive and Apps Script and may process service and security logs under Google's terms and privacy policy. Output files remain in the user's Google Drive and are governed by that user's Drive sharing and retention settings.

Retention and deletion

Benchcut Logic does not retain selected file contents, file metadata, or output contents. Temporary values exist only for the duration of the Apps Script execution. Users control output retention in Drive and can delete outputs at any time. Uninstalling the add-on revokes future access but does not delete output files the user chose to create.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or training generalized artificial-intelligence models. We do not transfer it to third parties except the Google services required to execute the add-on, or when required by law. No human at Benchcut Logic reviews selected file contents through normal operation.

Security

The add-ons use per-file OAuth access, an Apps Script URL allowlist restricted to Google's Drive v3 file endpoint, user-scoped Apps Script locks, bounded execution and input limits, and explicit confirmation plus version checks before replacing an image. Source and output bytes are handled in memory and are not sent to infrastructure operated by Benchcut Logic.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Children

The add-ons are general productivity tools and are not directed to children. A school or organization that installs an add-on is responsible for obtaining any required consent and configuring Google Workspace access for its users.

Changes

We may update this policy when the add-ons or legal requirements change. The effective date above will change with material updates. If a change materially expands how Google user data is used, we will update the relevant consent and Marketplace disclosures before applying that use.
